Frequently asked questions
- What is yin yoga?
- Yin is a slow style of yoga where poses are held for several minutes at a time, mostly seated or lying down. The long holds stretch deeply and give you time to quiet the mind.
- Is yin yoga good for beginners?
- Yes. Candlelight Yin is open to all levels, including people who have never done yoga.
- Should I choose yin or restorative?
- Both are slow. Yin gives you a deeper stretch. Restorative supports you completely with bolsters, blankets and blocks, so there's no effort at all, and our Candlelight Restorative Sound Bath adds live sound.
- What should I bring?
- Comfortable clothes and a water bottle. Mats are available to borrow at no charge, so you can just show up. Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to settle in and say hello to your teacher.
- How much does it cost?
- Drop-in $30. Class packs and memberships cover it, and new students can try it with the Discovery Pass: 14 days of unlimited yoga for $79.
