Frequently asked questions

Is Strong Foundations good for beginners?
Josephine adapts poses with props and modifications for different bodies. If you're completely new to yoga, her Intro to Yoga series covers the basics first.
Can I come with back pain, an injury or chronic pain?
Yes, at your own pace. Josephine's background is in alignment, therapeutics and sustainable body mechanics. She has worked with people living with chronic injury, illness and pain, and with students with scoliosis and other spinal conditions, and she adapts every pose with props. Tell her before class what you're working around. The class isn't a treatment: if the pain is sharp, new or runs down a leg, see your doctor first.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes and a water bottle. Mats are available to borrow at no charge, so you can just show up. Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to settle in and say hello to your teacher.
How much does it cost?
Drop-in $30. Class packs and memberships cover it, and new students can try it with the Discovery Pass: 14 days of unlimited yoga for $79.
